Job summary

Houle Electric Canada is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator in Victoria, BC to lead day-to-day warehouse activities and serve as the branch contact. You will manage shipping, receiving, inventory, and asset control while coordinating with field teams to ensure materials and tools are available and accurately tracked.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse-related roles, a Class 5 license, and strong communication with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2+ years of warehouse, material handling, construction, logistics experience or related experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with ability to drive a cube truck.
• Experience managing administrative tasks in a warehouse setting, tool/equipment tracking inventory control, and fleet coordination.
• Proficient with basic computer software applications - Excel, Word, Outlook; JD Edwards or ERP systems an asset.
• Current forklift certification an asset, or willingness to be trained.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong customer service focus with good interpersonal skills when supporting field and office teams.
• Organized and able to manage multiple, competing and changing priorities in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of the electrical industry an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory activities, including inspecting, labeling, storing, tracking, and maintaining documentation and records.
• Coordinate the distribution and movement of materials, tools, and equipment to support field operations, projects, and service teams.
• Administer asset and inventory control processes, including tool/equipment tracking, transfers, audits, cycle counts, and record maintenance.
• Prepare and inspect materials, tools, and equipment for pickup, delivery, shipment, transfer, and return, ensuring items are safe, complete, and operational.
• Support safe and efficient warehouse operations by operating material handling equipment, maintaining warehouse organization, and assisting with logistics and branch operations.

About this role

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our Warehouse in Victoria, BC, serving as the primary warehouse contact for the branch.

This role supports day-to-day warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, material handling, tool and equipment coordination, deliveries, and inventory and asset management. The Warehouse Coordinator works closely with field and project teams to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and other company assets are organized, readily available, and accurately tracked.

Your experience and skills

Salary range: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
