Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is hiring a Warehouse Assembler at the Freeport Distribution Centre in Calgary. You will work independently within a collaborative team to assemble cases on pallets and prepare shipments while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, tolerance for a cold environment, and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude. We offer training and benefits as part of Loblaw’s workforce.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 LBS repeatedly with accuracy and in a timed environment.
• Occasionally lift up to 65 lbs as needed.
• Must be safety minded and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cases of product on pallets for inventory requests from Loblaw stores.
• Wrap orders and prepare them for shipping using an electric pallet jack.

About The Role

The Warehouse Assembler role is ideal for those who love to work independently and stay active, while being supported by a collaborative team in a fast-paced unionized environment. Loblaw is highly safety focused, and our goal is for colleagues to feel confident in their role and go home safe at the end of the day. What You Will Be Trained To Do

• Assembling cases of product on pallets for inventory requests made by Loblaw stores including wrapping orders and preparing them for shipping.
• Utilizing an electric pallet jack to move through the warehouse.

• Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 LBS repeatedly and up to 65 lbs occasionally with accuracy and in a timed environment
• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (5 to -28 Degrees in some locations)
