Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is hiring a Warehouse Assembler for our Distribution Centers across Canada. This part-time, regular position focuses on assembling pallets for inventory requests, wrapping orders, and preparing them for shipping, with strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You will operate an electric pallet jack, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow HACCP and health & safety guidelines while contributing to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• You bring a positive attitude that will help strengthen our culture and core values.
• Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 lbs repeatedly and up to 65 lbs occasionally with accuracy in a timed environment.
• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (0 to -18 Degrees).
• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cases of product on pallets for inventory requests including wrapping orders and preparing them for shipping.
• Utilize an electric pallet jack to move through the warehouse.
• Adhere to safety practices and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.

About The Role

The Warehouse Assembler role is perfect for those who love to work independently and stay active, while being supported by a strong team in a fast-paced unionized environment. You will assemble pallets of product for inventory requests made by Loblaw stores.

In addition to ensuring pallets are accurate and properly identified, you will be responsible for wrapping orders and preparing them for shipping.

You will use your keen attention to detail to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, adhere to the HACCP Food Handling practices, and inspect and report any unsafe vehicles or conditions to your Supervisor.
