Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support inbound and outbound operations at our Amherst, NS facility. You will handle picking, packing, loading, and basic housekeeping under the warehouse lead's guidance.

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with a wage of CAD 17.40 per hour. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork as you process orders, receive vendor PO's and customer returns, and help maximize warehouse space.

Qualifications

• Proficient in problem solving, communication, following directions, time management.
• Must be a team player.
• G license preferred for loader position.

Responsibilities

• Perform system and/or manual tasks to support inbound and outbound operations.
• Identify and resolve issues in various functional areas; breakpack, breakdown, put away, replenishment, QC, staging, loading, shipping.
• Support efficient warehouse processing and maximize warehouse space usage.
• Perform work under the direction of warehouse lead, supervisor or manager.
• Receive vendor purchase orders and customer returns.
• Process outbound orders in a timely manner to ensure truck departure timelines are met.
• Pick/Stock products with accuracy.
• Wrap, sort and load orders.
• Maintain basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouse.
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

Additional Requirements Information:

This position requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity to perform the essential duties of this role:

• The employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee may lift, lower, or carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand.
• The employee may operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
