Job summary

Staples Canada, the Working and Learning Company, is hiring a Warehouse Associate to join our Calgary team. You will receive, store, and move products, using equipment and scanners, under the supervision of a warehouse manager.

This full-time position runs Mon-Fri, 10am to 6:30pm, with wage starting at 17.20 CAD per hour. You will work with coworkers to ensure accurate orders, safety procedures, and efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months' related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklift, cherry picker and pallet jack preferred.
• Ability and interest to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and move products in the warehouse using equipment.
• Use hand-held scanners to enter product information while ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure accuracy of orders received and examine discrepancies.
• Contribute to the efficient operation of warehouse activities through teamwork with co-workers in warehouse, drivers and purchasing personnel.
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

Additional Requirements Information:

• The employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee may lift, lower, or carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand.
• The employee will operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
