Job summary

Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support order picking, loading trucks, and inventory control. You will use RF scanners and the WMS system while ensuring safe, efficient operations on a Sunday–Wednesday shift.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to lift 40 kg, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends. Prior warehouse experience is beneficial, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to lift up to 88 lbs (40 kg).
• Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to think quickly and solve problems.
• Experience with RF scanners.
• Experience with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
• Warehouse/WMS knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct customer product order picks and load delivery trucks.
• Perform inventory counts with Supervisor.
• Inspect inventory for defects and document results.
• Scan products into the WMS system using RF scanners.
• Complete customer pick-ups and provide excellent service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and keep a clean work area.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to meet goals.

Job description

Shift: Sunday - Wednesday (4 Days x 10 Hours - 7am - 5:30pm)

In this role you will:

• Conduct customer product order picks and load delivery trucks
• Complete inventory counts with Supervisor
• Inspect inventory for defects or damages and document, as required
• Use RF (Radio Frequency) Scanner to scan products and items into WMS system
• Complete customer pick-up orders, as required, and provide exceptional customer service
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and regulations and maintain a clean working environment
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, as required
• Work together as part of the Operations team to exceed goals and expectations

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

• High school diploma
• Physical ability to lift and move large items up to 88lbs (40kg)
• Ability to work a flexible shift which may include evenings and weekends
• Ability to think quickly and tackle problems
• Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) Scanners
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to operate material handling equipment (i.e.., forklift, pallet truck, order picker, walkie, reach truck, etc.)
• Experience working within a warehouse environment and knowledge of warehouse management systems are considered assets

Additional information

This is a current open position. The starting hourly rate is $21.50. Rate is based on market location.
