Superior Glove is a family-owned manufacturer of hand protection with locations in Canada, the USA, Mexico and Honduras. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate in Acton, Ontario to support shipping, receiving, inventory management and order fulfillment while maintaining accuracy, safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The afternoon shift is scheduled 3:30pm – Midnight Monday to Thursday and 3:00pm – 11:00pm on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of warehouse/shipping experience preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Licenses for forklift, walkie, tow motor and man-up are required or training will be provided.
• Ability to use hand-held RF scanner and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using handheld device and warehouse machines.
• Pack and process orders by size, model and color.
• Shrink wrap and stack skids safely.
• Assist with weights and measurements as needed.
• Verify orders and label special orders.
• Load trucks efficiently following safety rules.
• Conduct cycle/inventory counts as required.
• Assist with unloading/receiving of trucks.
• Assist customer pick-ups as needed.
• Follow safety and operational procedures in the handbook.

About the role:

Reporting to the Team Leader , the Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations across shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all tasks. The afternoon shift is currently scheduled for 3:30pm - Midnight Monday to Thursday and 3:00pm - 11:00pm on Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Picking orders using a handheld device - using various warehouse machines to retrieve orders from different rooms and heights while identifying order specifications
• Packing / processing orders into appropriate boxes according to sizing, model, order, colour , etc.
• Shrink wrapping skids, stacking and skid building in a safe manner
• Assist with weights and measurements on products when needed
• Verifying orders and marking special orders with the appropriate labelling
• Loading trucks in an efficient manner while following all regulated safety precautions
• Cycle / inventory counts as required
• Assist with unloading / receiving of trucks
• Assist with customer pick-ups as required
• Follow and comply with all operational and safety procedures/ policies stated in the employee handbook, safety, customer service, quality and environment programs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum one (1) year of warehouse / shipping experience preferred
• High school diploma required
• Forklift, Walkie, WAVE, Tow Motor and Man-Up licenses will be required - training provided, experience/previous license preferred
• Ability to use hand-held device (e.g. RF scanner)
• Basic computer skills essential
• Math skills required to ensure order accuracy - testing is part of the recruitment process
• Strong communication skills are essential to be able to work with all departments and outside contacts Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
• Good problem-solving skills
• An ability to understand when an issue needs to be escalated.
• Ability to use judgement to determine if the gloves are of good quality.
• Must be adaptable to fast and ongoing changes in priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs during regular duties along with bending/walking/pushing/pulling
