Job summary

SureWerx in Guelph is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Starting wage is $21.00 per hour, increasing to $21.50 per hour after probation, with potential equipment premiums after certification.

You will load, unload, weigh, pack, and ship orders, maintain inventory, and operate reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must lift up to 50 lbs and be physically able to perform duties.
• Minimum 1 year experience on Reach Truck; 1 year on Order picker and industrial lift trucks; pallet jack.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Detail-oriented and able to work at a fast pace.
• Significant memory use and attention to detail.
• Experience operating a computerized inventory control system and scan gun picking an asset.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Steel-toed safety boots required; training provided for related experience.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• Operate equipment to unload and move products.
• Weigh, wrap, pack, and unpack products; verify against invoices.
• Process requisitions including picking, checking and packing orders.
• Inspect incoming goods and shipments; restock and organize inventory.
• Use inventory control system and perform scan-based picking.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse.

We are currently hiring full-time Warehouse Associates for our Guelph branch. This is an on-site position working Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Starting wage: $21.00 per hour, increasing to $21.50 per hour upon successful completion of the probationary period. Employees may also be eligible for equipment premiums after certification.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment;
• Operate a variety of equipment to unload and load and move products;
• Weigh products, wrap goods and pack and unpack products;
• Process incoming requisitions which include picking, checking and packing orders;
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices and other documents;
• Shipment of orders;
• Restock bins;
• Maintain and organize inventory;
• Use the inventory control system to locate information, search orders or investigate discrepancies;
• Clean warehouse constantly;
• Other general warehouse duty as required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Physically able to lift heavy shipments and products up to 50 lbs;
• Must have minimum 1 year experience on Reach Truck and 1 year experience on Order picker, industrial lift trucks and pallet jack;
• Good communication skills (verbal and written);
• Detail-oriented;
• Ability to work at a fast pace;
• Significant use of memory;
• Ability to operate a computerized inventory control system and scan gun picking will be an asset;
• Team player with a positive attitude;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Steel-toed safety boots required;
• One year of related experience will be an asset as we will train.
