Job summary

Superior Glove is seeking a full-time Production Associate for the Day Shift at our Acton, Ontario facility. This role includes operating production machinery, preparing and finishing products, and ensuring quality through the manufacturing process.

The position requires adherence to SOPs, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Sewing and embroidery experience are a plus, with cross-training across production areas offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Place gloves on hand forms on the dip line machine and maintain work areas.
• Follow SOPs and perform quality checks to meet specifications.
• Cross-train in sewing, clean room and other production tasks.
• Verify orders and accurate labeling; pack gloves and conduct quality checks.
• Communicate quality issues as they arise and keep workstations safe.

You could be part of the Superior Glove Works team! We are seeking a full-time permanent Production Associate for our Day Shift out of our Acton Ontario facility.

Candidates must be able to follow standard operating procedures and perform required quality checks to ensure products meet established specifications and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or issues are essential, along with the ability to make necessary corrections. Preference will be given to applicants with computer knowledge and experience, as well as sewing skills, embroidery experience, and strong hand-eye coordination.

About the role:

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the Production Associateis responsible for completing various roles in the manufacturing process including filling orders accurately and efficiently, attending production machinery/equipment, etc. This individual is also responsible for product preparation, finishing, quality assurance, and other duties as required that provide support to the Production Team.

Location:

Acton, Ontario Office: Based at our Global Headquarters located at 36 Vimy Street, Acton, ON. This is a day shift position currently scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Place gloves on hand forms on the dip line machine
• Responsible for general upkeep of each workstation and working in a safe manner, complying with safety and procedural regulations
• Conduct necessary checks on the product to ensure quality
• Must be willing to be cross-trained in all aspects of production work, sewing, working in the clean room, etc.
• Verify orders and ensure accurate labelling
• Packing orders accurately, conducting quality checks and sorting of gloves
• Communicate quality issues as they arise
• Utilize vend-pak machine for individual packaging and/or pack gloves in bags by the dozen with accuracy
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment is preferred; on-the-job training will be provided
• High School Diploma / GED
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs, have strong wrists and hands, and be comfortable in a fast-paced processing environment
• Capable of performing detailed work and comfortable with the variety of physical demands including long periods of standing
