Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations in Balzac, AB. You will supervise the team, manage workflows, dispatch loads, optimize dock space, and ensure safe, efficient inventory handling and customer service.

The role emphasizes coaching, training, and adherence to safety standards while supporting a culture of teamwork and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in the distribution/warehouse field.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Supervision experience and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervisory responsibilities and acts as a functional leader.
• Administers workflow and prepares work schedules to meet customer service standards.
• Assist with dispatching for the day shift supervisor and route loads.
• Optimize receiving docks space and productivity within the warehouse area.
• Maintain equipment and machinery and notify of repairs or concerns.
• Train staff on processes and cross-training; encourage development.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure safety standards and proper housekeeping compliance.

What You Will Do

• Direct supervisory responsibilities are applicable. Acts as a functional leader.
• Administers workflow and prepares work schedules of team members in such a way that workflow meets customer service standards.
• Assisting with dispatching for the day shift supervisor by routing and inputting loads.
• Uses appropriate means to optimize the efficiency of the receiving docks and the space available.
• Optimize the space and the productivity in field of responsibility in the warehouse.
• Responsible for the proper maintenance and usage of equipment and machinery. Notifies Warehouse Manager of anticipated repairs or concerns.
• Trains employees on proper processes and sub-processes as notified by the Distribution / Warehouse Manager. Trains on specific tasks such as proper equipment usage, material handling and maintenance. Determines positions to be rotated and considered for training and encourages cross training between all team members.
• Provides coaching and supervision. Reports the ongoing performance of team members; identifies superior performers with development potential and notifies the Warehouse Manager of it.
• See to the application of safety standards.
• Ensures all team members achieve proper housekeeping within area of responsibility. Ensures area of responsibility is well maintained, productive and in compliance with the companies’ policies and procedures.
