Job summary

Trail Appliances BC is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Kelowna for a temporary, full-time three-month period. You will process and pack orders, handle receiving and inventory tasks, and maintain a safe warehouse.

The schedule runs 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday, in a climate-controlled environment with a focus on accuracy and teamwork. Starting pay is $23 per hour, with experienced candidates at $24.10 per hour, and a guaranteed wage progression.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required or in current possession.
• Stand-up / counterbalance MHE experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle mid-size items.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and pack incoming customer orders for shipping.
• Receive, verify, unpack and sort incoming materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using a warehouse management system.
• Operate warehouse equipment in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Job description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely handling products in our Kelowna warehouse. The regular duties of this role include receiving and storing products, preparing customer orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and performing daily housekeeping activities while contributing to a safe and healthy workplace.

This is a temporary, full-time three-month position.

Compensation:

• Starting at $23 per hour
• Experienced Candidates: $24.10 per hour
• You must bring 3 years of Clamp/Oversize handling experience
• Guaranteed yearly wage progression

As a Warehouse Associate, you will

• Be processing and packing incoming customer orders in preparation for shipping
• Be receiving, verifying, unpacking and sorting incoming materials
• Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of a warehouse management system
• Operate the warehousing equipment in accordance with regulations
• Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness

To be successful in this role, you should have

• A current or previous Forklift certification
• A Stand-up/Sit-down counterbalance MHE experience
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to lift up to 50LBS
• A Good oral and written communication skills

Work Environment

• Working in a climate-controlled warehouse
• Comfortable working with large items
• Must be able to stand and or walk for extended periods of time
• Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling of boxes throughout the warehouse can be expected
• Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday to Saturday
