Job summary

Trail Appliances in Delta, BC is hiring a Warehouse Associate for a temporary, full-time three-month assignment with potential extension. You will handle products safely, process orders, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, safe workplace in a climate-controlled warehouse.

Requires forklift certification and experience with large items, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a standing/walking schedule 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Tue–Sat.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required or current/previous certification.
• Clamp/Oversize handling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process and pack incoming customer orders for shipping.
• Receive, verify, unpack and sort incoming materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using a warehouse management system.
• Operate warehouse equipment per regulations.
• Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness.

Job description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely handling products in ourDelta warehouse. The regular duties of this role include receiving and storing products, preparing customer orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and performing daily housekeeping activities while contributing to a safe and healthy workplace.

This is a temporary, full-time three-month position with the possibility of extension.

Compensation:

• Starting at $23 per hour with $1/hour shift premium
• Experienced Candidates: $24.10 per hour with $1/ hour shift premium
• You must bring 3 years of Clamp/Oversize handling experience
• Guaranteed yearly wage progression

• Be processing and packing incoming customer orders in preparation for shipping
• Be receiving, verifying, unpacking and sorting incoming materials
• Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of a warehouse management system
• Operate the warehousing equipment in accordance with regulations
• Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness.
• A current or previous Forklift certification.
• A Stand-up/Sit-down counterbalance MHE experience
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to lift up to 50LBS
• A Good oral and written communication skills
• Working in a climate-controlled warehouse
• Comfortable working with large items.
• Must be able to stand and or walk for extended periods of time
• Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling of boxes throughout the warehouse can be expected.
