Job summary

Trail Appliances in Kelowna, BC, is hiring Delivery Assistants to support delivery, installation, and warehouse tasks. The role involves handling and installing products in customers’ homes and coordinating with a delivery partner daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract.
• Experience operating 5 ton truck or other large vehicle is considered an asset.
• Stand-up/Sit-down counter balance experience and certification.
• Ability to do some lifting and meet physical demands.
• On the road, customer’s home, and warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, verifying, unpacking and sorting incoming materials in an organized fashion.
• Processing and packing incoming customer orders in preparation for shipping.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records through the use of a warehouse management system.
• Safe operation of warehousing equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Maintaining warehouse safety and cleanliness.
• Greet and explain the delivery process to each of our customers in a professional manner.
• Safely handle and install our unique range of products into our customers’ homes.
• Work daily with a trained delivery partner.
• Complete the required paperwork for each delivery.

Compensation and Schedule:

Wage: Starting from $23.00 to $24.10 per hour based on experience, with guaranteed annual wage progression up to $26.40 per hour.

Schedule:5 days a week from Tuesday to Saturday 7:30am start until 4:00pm (Occasional overtime as required)

WAREHOUSE:

DELIVERY:

• Greet and explain the delivery process to each of our customers in a professional manner.
• Safely handle and install our unique range of products into our customers’ homes. This is heavy work, but hey, you essentially get paid to work out!
• Work daily with a trained delivery partner (Who knows, could be the start of a new friendship.)
• Complete the required paperwork for each delivery (and we will even provide the pen!).

QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years warehouse experience preferred
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
• Experience operating 5 ton truck or other large vehicle is considered an asset.
