Job summary

Canadian Tire Stores is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help receive, verify, store, and transport goods safely within the warehouse and to the sales floor. You will handle merchandise of varying weight and work with a friendly, diverse team that values work-life balance and ongoing training.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, comfortable with computer tasks, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting. No previous experience required; training provided.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Must be able to handle physical demands including standing and lifting.
• Able to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Strong computer literacy and comfortable with basic equipment.
• Certification in forklift and/or skyjack is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, scan, verify and store all incoming products.
• Store overstock and organize warehouse areas.
• Ship returns, process damaged claims and complete paperwork.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and perform regular cycle counts.
• Dispose of garbage and cardboard in a safe manner.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and according to Health & Safety rules.
• Support a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Requirements / Skills

• No experience is required!!! – We will provide all the training you need!
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
• Certification in forklift and/or skyjack (scissor lift) (asset)
