Job summary

House of McGrath, an upscale restaurant and brewery in downtown Toronto, is seeking a polished Waitress to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will guide guests through our menus, anticipate needs, and help create evenings that bring guests back.

This is a great opportunity for a hospitality professional who takes pride in service and wants to grow. You will welcome guests warmly, know the menu deeply, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure timely service while maintaining table

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant serving experience, upscale or fine dining experience is an asset.
• Warm, professional manner and excellent communication skills.
• Strong multitasking ability and composure under pressure.
• Ontario Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, take accurate orders and serve food and beverages with care and good timing.
• Know the food and beverage menus in depth and make confident recommendations, including features and pairings.
• Anticipate guest needs and keep tables immaculate throughout the meal.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar so orders arrive on time, and resolve concerns graciously.
• Process payments accurately and complete end-of-shift cash-outs.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, restocking and supporting teammates at peak times.
• Follow health, safety and responsible alcohol service standards on every shift.
