Job summary

Evertz is seeking a Service Engineer to join the AV Service team in Burlington, Ontario, focusing on VUE control system customization and deployment. You will design widget layouts, integrate with MAGNUM-OS, and tailor automation surfaces for customer workflows.

Responsibilities include building and modifying device drivers, testing with hardware, and integrating third-party APIs while collaborating with consultants, system integrators, and end users to meet UI requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline - or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy custom VUE widget layouts and workspaces tailored to customer workflows.
• Integrate VUE with MAGNUM-OS for router control and playout systems.
• Configure alarms, salvos, UMDs, and automation widgets to match site requirements.
• Create and modify device drivers for third-party equipment.
• Test, validate, and document driver behavior with real hardware in labs and field environments.
• Troubleshoot integration between VUE, devices, and third-party APIs.
• Provide commissioning and training at customer sites.
