Job summary

Marsh Risk in Canada seeks a Vice-President / Engagement Lead for Forensic Accounting Claims Services (FACS) to manage complex client engagements and help grow the practice within our global team.

The role focuses on insurance loss measurement, claims preparation, and expert forensic accounting for damages from catastrophes, litigation, or disputes with travel required and hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Economics.
• CPA, CBV, CFA, and/or CFE designation(s).
• 3 to 7 years familiarity with general accounting and finance terms and concepts, as well as with income statements, profit and loss statements, and other common financial documentation.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience in insurance claim quantification (specifically with Business Interruption Losses), litigation support, and/or forensic accounting services is required.
• Exceptional project management skills – ability to manage client expectations, proactively identify / address roadblocks and interim milestones to fulfill deliverables, while coordinating with internal stakeholders
• Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel (including VBA), skills in SQL or other database experience is a plus, visualization/analytics applications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of financial damages and measures of lost profits to develop financial models for losses in insurance or litigation contexts.
• Synthesize and analyze large data sets and complex business models across diverse industries to create work product.
• Communicate complex analyses to clients, attorneys, and senior stakeholders.
• Lead and project manage engagements, participate in client discussions, and drive results for the practice.
• Develop deep industry expertise in key sectors (Course of Construction, Mining, Energy, Financial Services).
• Help drive adoption of technology and improve operational efficiency of the practice.
• Willingness to travel.
