Job summary

Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) in Calgary seeks an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, onboard and steward volunteers at our Calgary Campus. This role is the first point of contact for applicants and connects with staff across programs, fundraising and communications to support the volunteer base.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years managing volunteers, strong presentation skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education including volunteer management, volunteer resource management, volunteer administration, or other related field.
• Minimum of a Class 5 Alberta driver's license.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRMs considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard Calgary volunteers, acting as first contact and ongoing liaison.
• Coordinate volunteer activities, scheduling, and communications with staff.
• Support fundraising, communications and programs teams to engage volunteers.
• Plan and execute volunteer appreciation events and recognition.
• Other duties as needed to support day-to-day operations.
