Job summary

Bethany Care Society in Calgary, AB is seeking a Team Lead, Volunteer Services to provide operational leadership for its volunteer programs across multiple sites. You will manage a team of Volunteer Coordinators and ensure high-quality volunteer practices aligned with Bethany's mission.

Qualifications

• Experience leading volunteer programs or community engagement initiatives.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing employees or teams.
• Healthcare or not-for-profit sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Volunteer Coordinators across multiple Bethany sites.
• Coach and develop staff through regular performance management and development.
• Oversee the full volunteer lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, engagement, recognition, and offboarding.
• Partner with leaders to create volunteer opportunities enhancing resident and family experience.
• Ensure consistent volunteer practices and program standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and volunteer engagement through data and feedback.
• Oversee volunteer records, scheduling, and reporting for accuracy and compliance.
• Build relationships with volunteers, community partners, and educational institutions.
• Represent Volunteer Services in organizational initiatives and events.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, safety and privacy requirements.
