About PCFSA
Pacific Centre Family Services Association (PCFSA) has been delivering high quality child, youth, adult, and family-based services since 1968. From our current community-based locations in Colwood, Langford, and Sooke on South Vancouver Island, we provide a range of services across the Capital Regional District. These include work with individuals addressing family violence, youth and family counselling, parent-teen mediation, outreach and email counselling, youth gang and sexual exploitation prevention and intervention, family and couples counselling, supportive counselling to address substance use issues, trauma counselling, and primary health care for individuals facing barriers to accessing medical care.

Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated, strategic-minded individuals to join our board of directors. The ideal candidates will bring expertise in one or more of these areas: finance, human resources, law, risk management, research and program evaluation and/or social services/healthcare. The ideal candidates will share our commitment to advancing PCFSA’s mission.
As a board director, you will be a key part of our governance structure, offering guidance and oversight, helping shape organizational strategy, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability and success.

Time Commitment:
Board members volunteer approximately 3 to 5 hours per month, which includes attending 10 regular board meetings each year (in person/remote) and additional committee meetings. Most meetings are virtual and held end of day on business days, with one annual weekend day for a board retreat.
