Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of London is seeking Volleyball Coaches for the Next Level Sports team in London, ON. Three part-time positions, evenings and weekends as needed, up to 10 hours per week, Sept 21, 2026 - June 24, 2027. In-person coaching at 184 Horton Street, East, London.

Design and implement sport-specific training, develop athletes, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship in a positive environment. Pay is $20.00 per hour, with inclusion in ongoing sports programming.

Qualifications

  • Proven volleyball experience through playing or coaching at a competitive level.
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques and strategies.
  • Experience in program development, facilitation and evaluation, especially in volleyball.
  • Strong community engagement, communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive, high-quality sports programming.
  • Ability to motivate athletes to achieve their best.
  • NCCP Development Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel for programs as needed.
  • Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check certificate; First Aid with CPR and AED Level C certification.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement training programs tailored to individuals and team needs.
  • Instruct athletes on proper techniques, strategies and tactics.
  • Guide and support athletes' physical fitness, mental toughness and performance.
  • Plan and oversee practice sessions, drills and conditioning routines.
  • Evaluate progress and adjust coaching strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a positive, respectful team culture emphasizing sportsmanship and collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents and coaching staff.
  • Stay updated on latest coaching methodologies.

Volleyball Coach

Up to 10 hrs per week

Are you passionate about volleyball and dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential? We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Volleyball Coaches to join our Next Level Sports team at BGC London. As a Volleyball Coach, you will play a crucial role in developing athletes' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive and competitive sports environment.

Qualifications
  • Proven volleyball experience, such as playing or coaching at a competitive level.
  • Strong knowledge of the rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport.
  • Experience in program development, facilitation, and evaluation, particularly in volleyball.
  • Strong skills in community engagement, communication, and leadership.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and high-quality sports programming across disciplines.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their best.
  • NCCP Development Certified (preferred) or willingness to obtain relevant certifications.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel for programs as needed.
  • Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check certificate.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR and AED Level C certification
Key Responsibilities
