Job summary

VON Canada is seeking a Visiting Nurse to deliver holistic, client-centred care in homes and clinics. You will assess clients, administer medications, manage wounds, and support families across ages while working in a dynamic home-based setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of practice.
• Community health experience is an asset.
• Must enjoy driving, have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.
• Must be able to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Client assessments in home/clinic settings.
• Provide primary care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Medication administration and wound care.
• Chronic disease management and diabetes care education.
• Specimen collection and rehabilitative programs.
• Palliative care when appropriate.
