Job summary

Lynn Valley Animal Hospital in North Vancouver, BC is seeking a Veterinary Technologist (RVT) for a part-time role. Availability includes two Saturdays per month and at least two late shifts weekly, with hours extending until 8:00 p.m.

You will support patient care, anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedures, with mentorship and training within the VCA Canada network.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program, with eligibility for registration in the applicable province.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of patient care, anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
• Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and patient assessment.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain animals using appropriate techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Employment Type: Part-time

Compensation: $24.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills
