Job summary

Lynn Valley Animal Hospital in North Vancouver, BC, is seeking a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our local network of skilled professionals. You will support patient care, anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedures in a friendly, community-oriented clinic.

The successful candidate has completed a Veterinary Technician program, is eligible for registration, and brings compassion, strong communication, and a commitment to ongoing learning in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Completion of a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program, with eligibility for registration in the applicable province.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of patient care, anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.

Veterinary Technologist

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Employment Type: Part-time

Compensation: $24.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills

Schedule: This role requires availability for a minimum of two Saturdays per month (actual scheduling may vary) and at least two late shifts per week, with hours extending until 8:00 p.m.

Lynn Valley Animal Hospital is welcoming a part-time, dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our amazing network of skilled veterinary professionals. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training!

• Completion of a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program, with eligibility for registration in the applicable province.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of patient care, anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
• Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and patient assessment.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain animals using appropriate techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to animal care.
• Commitment to continuing education and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
