Job summary

Mosaic Veterinary Partners is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant for the Fairview clinic in Fairview, Alberta. This full-time role offers Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours each day, within a friendly rural practice environment.

You will work with veterinarians and technologists, support client communications, manage patient records, and help maintain medical equipment and inventory while upholding high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of duties.
• The ability to lift 35+ pounds without assistance.
• Experience with large animals is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service to clients and assist with scheduling, invoicing, and computer records.
• Support veterinarians and veterinary technologists with daily treatments and patient care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of instruments and equipment; assist with inventory tasks as needed.
• Assist with animal handling and husbandry.
• Assist in setting up for medical procedures and surgeries.

Our incredible team at Mosaic is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our practice - Fairview Veterinary Clinic - in Fairview, Alberta. This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday 7.5 hours each day.

The Ideal Candidate

As our ideal candidate you have a passion for:

• Mixed animal practice. Our team members have a love of working with multiple species of animals;


• Ensuring high quality customer service to our clients, and supporting the operations as required in areas of scheduling and managing their invoicing and computer records;


• Supporting others, such as the clinic manager, veterinarians and veterinary technologists with daily treatments and care of patients;


• Cleaning and maintaining instruments and equipment and complete inventory tasks as needed;


• Animal handling and husbandry;


• Setting up for medical procedures and surgeries.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast pace environment


• Excitement, desire and passion to learn and take ownership of assigned duties


• The ability to lift 35+ pounds without assistance


• Completion of a high-school diploma


• Experience owning or working with large animals an asset


• Preference given to those with previous industry experience.
