Job summary

Mosaic Veterinary Partners in Fairview, Alberta is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our progressive mixed animal practice on a part-time basis, with potential for full-time in the future. You will thrive in a collaborative team that values compassionate care, ongoing mentorship and professional growth within a rural setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited two-year veterinary technology program and is registered or eligible for registration.
• Passionate about veterinary medicine with a positive attitude.
• Thrives on variety and works with multiple species in a mixed animal setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and stays organized under pressure.
• Eager to build connections with animals and their owners with compassion.
• Physically capable of lifting 35+ pounds without assistance.
• Eligible to work in Canada without a work permit.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Our RVT’s must display a positive attitude, enthusiasm and commitment to animal care, while possessing strong organizational skills, excellent telephone and in-person communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Our employees are passionate and show great compassion for animals and their owners and understand the stress that patients and clients are under. As we are a mixed animal practice, RVT’s must be comfortable working around multiple species of animals. Our RVT’s daily duties comprise of the following, but they are not limited to these duties: nursing care, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging and testing, client education and interaction including admissions and discharges, filling prescriptions and attending farm calls with DVM’s as needed.
