Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) seeks an Operations Supervisor for the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role oversees daily operations, supervision of part-time staff, facility maintenance, and on-site customer service for events in the local and regional market.

This position also handles setup, cleaning, and coordinating shipping and receiving. This hourly role pays CAD 29.00–33.00 per hour.

Qualifications

2–3 years of experience in related event-based operations with supervisory experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of services and activities in public assembly facilities, including housekeeping.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work irregular and flexible hours based on event requirements.

Responsibilities

Work from general instructions and specifications.
Read and interpret paperwork and floorplans regarding room set-ups.
Train, mentor, and supervise all part-time staff within the department.
Set rooms according to the requested layouts.
Directly set up and tear down equipment (chairs, tables, staging, etc.).
Sweep, mop, scrub & wax floors; wash walls, windows, stainless steel, countertops, and woodwork.
Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies.
Perform facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
Report defective equipment or set-ups to supervisors in a timely manner.
