Job summary

Halfords in Cornwall is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including complex tasks like clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics. You must hold a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience, and a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.

The role offers 5 days a week with no Sundays, plus an uncapped bonus and extensive staff discounts.

• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform diagnostics and complex repairs (clutches, timing belts, electrical systems).
• Work to the highest standards in a busy Autocentre environment.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
