British Columbia Rapid Transit Company in Vancouver seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Vehicle department's daily operations. You'll ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage technical services, and respond to emergency incidents.
The ideal candidate has a Red Seal certification or equivalent and at least five years of experience, including three years in a supervisory role within a unionized environment. Benefits include health coverage and a pension plan.
Applies technical knowledge of the maintenance function to supervise delivery of day-to-day services for the Vehicle department. Manages the provision of technical services to ensure the optimum condition, reliability and safety of company assets relating to vehicles, equipment and infrastructure.
Education & Experience: The requirements for this job are acquired through Red Seal or Interprovincial Ticket in electronics, electrical or mechanical trade or graduation from a college or university in a relevant discipline and documented successful completion of applicable and appropriate supervisory skills training from an accredited institution. Requires five (5) years’ experience in maintenance technical service, including three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity working in a unionized shop environment.
37.5 hours per week.
Resident. This position works predominately on‑site.
The salary for this position ranges from $84,480 - $126,720 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role. This position is currently eligible for a temporary compression salary adjustment of up to 10 percent above the base salary of reporting staff. Adjustments related to salary compression or inversion are reviewed on a regular basis and will cease when the position no longer meets the criteria for compression or inversion.
