OPENLANE is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Inspection Specialist to join our inspection solutions team. You’ll conduct on-site vehicle inspections at our ADESA Vehicle Logistics Centers, assessing wear, damage and previous repairs to ensure quality presentations for clients.

You’ll capture data on a mobile device and operate tools such as an OBD scanner, paint meter and other industry equipment. Travel, evenings, and weekends may be required; competitive CAD hourly pay reflects experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ related experience in completing vehicle inspections or equivalent automotive experience.
• Experience / Knowledge of the automotive industry required.
• Confident working in a technology focused environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain understanding of OPENLANE policies, processes, and inspection tools.
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, damage, or prior repairs.
• Complete inspections and ensure adherence to program requirements; perform road test if required.
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device using software and hardware tools.
• Stay updated on technology updates and product development; may travel offsite and work evenings/weekends when required.

We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Inspection Specialist to work as part of our inspection solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the on-site inspection process on various vehicles at our ADESA Vehicle Logistics Centers. Whether you’re a seasoned vet, new to the industry but willing to learn, or just a car enthusiast, this job is for you!

Our Inspectors Are:

• Observant. No detail gets past you, you are the last line of defense when it comes to how we present our vehicles to our clients.
• Responsible for the inspection of vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or structural damage.
• Knowledgeable. You understand how to use technology such as mobile inspection tools, OBD Scanners, paint meters, and other industry leading hardware and software.
• Safe. We have a high regard for safety, you should too. This role will require you to perform your work in all types of weather conditions.

You Will:

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of OPENLANE policies, processes, and procedures and the tools used in the conduct of vehicle inspections.
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or structural damage
• Complete inspection of vehicles and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customer, including completing road test if required by contract or inspection type
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device, work comfortably with software and technology.
• Keep current on technology updates, new releases, and product development
• Understand the functionality and ability to use tools such as paint meter, OBD scanner etc.
• May be required to travel offsite; or to work evenings and weekends, to complete inspections when required

Must Have's:

• 1-2 years’ related experience in completing vehicle inspections at OPENLANE or equivalent automotive experience
• Experience / Knowledge of the automotive industry required
• Valid Drivers’ license is required
• Confident working in a technology focused environment

Nice to Have’s:

• Experience working around vehicles and within the automotive industry.

Compensation Range of Hourly: $20.00 - $21.00 CAD (Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
