OPENLANE is seeking a Vehicle Inspection Specialist to perform on-site vehicle inspections at our ADESA Vehicle Logistics Centers. You will inspect vehicles for wear, damage, and prior repairs, and may conduct road tests as needed. Strong data capture on mobile devices and proficiency with inspection hardware are essential.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in vehicle inspections, a valid driver’s license, and comfort working in a tech-focused environment. Travel and odd hours may be required.

Formación

• 1–2 years’ related vehicle inspection experience.
• Experience / Knowledge of the automotive industry required.
• Valid drivers’ license required.
• Confident working in a technology-focused environment.

Responsabilidades

• Stay updated on technology releases and product development.

• May travel offsite or work evenings/weekends to complete inspections.

We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Inspection Specialist to work as part of our inspection solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the on-site inspection process on various vehicles at our ADESA Vehicle Logistics Centers. Whether you’re a seasoned vet, new to the industry but willing to learn, or just a car enthusiast, this job is for you!

Our InspectorsAre:

• Observant. No detail gets past you, you are the last line of defense when it comes to how we present our vehicles to our clients.
• Responsible for the inspection of vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or structural damage. You will also complete road tests as needed.
• Knowledgeable. Youunderstand how to use technology such as mobile inspection tools, OBD Scanners, paint meters, and other industry leading hardware and software.
• Safe. We have a high regard for safety, you should too. This role will require you to perform your work in all types of weather conditions.

You Will:

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of OPENLANE policies, processes, and procedures and the tools used in the conduct of vehicle inspections.
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or structural damage
• Complete inspection of vehicles and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customer, including completing road test if required by contract or inspection type
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device, work comfortably with software and technology.
• Keep current on technology updates, new releases, and product development
• Understand the functionality and ability to use tools such as paint meter, OBD scanner etc.
• May be required to travel offsite; or to work evenings and weekends, to complete inspections when required

Must Have’s:

• 1-2 years’ related experience in completing vehicle inspections at OPENLANE or equivalent automotive experience
• Experience / Knowledge of the automotive industry required
• Valid Drivers’ license is required
• Confident working in a technology focused environment

Nice to Have’s:

• Experience working around vehicles and within the automotive industry.

Compensation Range of

Hourly: $20.00 - $21.00 CAD
