OPENLANE is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Inspection Specialist to join our inspection solutions team. You will perform on-site vehicle inspections at our ADESA Vehicle Logistics Centers, assessing wear, damage, and repair history, and may conduct road tests as required by contract.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of related vehicle inspection experience, knowledge of the automotive industry, and a valid driver's license.

Formación

• 1-2 years’ related experience in completing vehicle inspections.
• Experience / Knowledge of the automotive industry required.
• Valid Drivers’ license is required.
• Confident working in a technology focused environment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of OPENLANE policies, processes, and procedures and the tools used in the conduct of vehicle inspections.
• Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or structural damage
• Complete inspection of vehicles and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customer, including completing road test if required by contract or inspection type
• Capture data accurately on a mobile device, work comfortably with software and technology.
• Keep current on technology updates, new releases, and product development
• Understand the functionality and ability to use tools such as paint meter, OBD scanner etc.
• May be required to travel offsite; or to work evenings and weekends, to complete inspections when required

We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Inspection Specialist to work as part of our inspection solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the on-site inspection process on various vehicles at our ADESA Vehicle Logistics Centers. Whether you’re a seasoned vet, new to the industry but willing to learn, or just a car enthusiast, this job is for you!

Our InspectorsAre

• Observant.No detail gets past you, you are the last line of defense when it comes to how we present our vehicles to our clients.
• Responsiblefor the inspection of vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or structural damage. You will also complete road tests as needed.
• Knowledgeable.Youunderstand how to use technology such as mobile inspection tools, OBD Scanners, paint meters, and other industry leading hardware and software.
• Safe. We have a high regard for safety, you should too.This role will require you to perform your work in all types of weather conditions.

You Will

Must Have's

• 1-2 years’ related experience in completing vehicle inspections at OPENLANE or equivalent automotive experience
• Experience / Knowledge of the automotive industry required
• Valid Drivers’ license is required
• Confident working in a technology focused environment

Nice to Have’s

• Experience working around vehicles and within the automotive industry.

Compensation Range of

Hourly: $20.00 - $21.00 CAD

(Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
