Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking experienced Security Professionals for our Vancouver Public Library site in Downtown.

You will deliver exceptional customer service, manage access control and patrolling, monitor CCTV, and coordinate with emergency services to deter threats and respond to incidents. The role requires a BC Security License, OFA Level 2 preferred, and a minimum of three years in security with at least one year in customer service.

Qualifications

• BC Security License required.
• OFA - intermediate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of security industry experience.
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at a high-profile library site.
• Control access to facilities and manage security checkpoints.
• Patrol designated areas to deter incidents and maintain safety.
• Monitor CCTV systems and coordinate with response teams.
• Communicate via radio and digital channels; escalate incidents as needed.
• Prepare clear incident and activity reports for management.
• Identify safety hazards and report them promptly to supervisors.
• Contribute to crime prevention and visual deterrence strategies.
• Liaise with emergency services when required.
• Handle severe or escalated situations with professionalism.

What You Would Do

Job Requirements

• BC Security License (BST)
• Occupational First Aid Level 2/intermediate (OFA - intermediate) - preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of security industry experience
• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience
