Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park is seeking a Delivery Driver to load and unload items across hotel loading docks, assist with on-site deliveries, and maintain a clean, safe working environment. You will follow Parks Canada rules and support guest satisfaction through reliable service.

Requires a valid Alberta Class 5 license and a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work weekends/overnights.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
• Self-motivated with ability to make effective decisions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high service levels.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a busy hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive, load and unload food, banquet equipment, glassware and chemicals between hotel loading docks.
• Assist departments with special deliveries on site or off site as needed.
• Ensure daily vehicle inspection is completed and report damages.
• Maintain cleanliness of delivery truck and loading docks.
• Participate in garbage and recycling removal per hotel and Parks Canada rules.
• Attend departmental meetings and communicate across departments.
• Support inter-departmental cooperation to improve guest satisfaction.
• Uphold health and safety standards and hotel environmental policies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

Hourly Wage: $23.59

What You Will Be Doing

• Drive, load and unload food, banquet equipment, glassware, china and chemicals between all loading docks of the hotel in a secure and timely manner.


• Assist all departments with special deliveries on site or outside of the hotel.


• Ensuring daily inspection of the vehicle is filled out and report any damages.


• Maintaining the cleanliness of the delivery truck and loading docks.


• Participate in the removal of garbage & recycling according to the rules set in place by the hotel and Parks Canada.


• Participating in departmental meetings


• Ensuring inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of better guest satisfaction


• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives


• Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives


• Carry out any other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Your skillset includes:

• Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) and must obtain a current driver's abstract free of any serious demerit points


• Self-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions


• Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision


• Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure


• Physically able to carry out the demands of the position including, bending, heavy lifting and carrying heavy items


• Able to push, pull extremely heavy carts in and out of the truck


• Able to lift up equipment up to 50lbs often during the workday
