Job summary

Semtech Canada is offering a 16-month Validation internship in the SIP group at the Burlington Design Centre. You will work with product development teams locally and remotely, gaining hands-on experience with modern test and measurement tools.

The program emphasizes direct involvement, learning through tasks, and growth within Validation and Design teams, with tasks scaling in complexity as you progress.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python programming and hardware/software debugging.
• Experience with data acquisition and automation of lab equipment.
• RF and high-speed digital measurement and debugging skills (>10Gbps).
• Familiarity with automated data collection and Python scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of optical and high-speed test equipment; strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop data acquisition suites to support characterization of R&D prototypes.
• Develop measurement analysis techniques and systems to check device compliance to specification.
• Create software and hardware for prototype measurements.
• Design utilities to support IC verification and characterization and improve productivity.
• Active member in product development teams.

Job Summary:

As a full member of our Validation group, you will be working with the product development teams both locally and remotely, providing product validation and test automation support. You will be provided the opportunity to learn from both our Validation and Design teams working with the leading-edge test and measurement tools and technologies.

Our approach to internship is to make the successful candidate an integral part of our team. We understand that it is best to learn through direct involvement and we will provide you with tasks that enable you to learn and to be productive at the same time. The more you learn the more complex your tasks will become. The internship program is an important part of our recruiting strategy.

This position is for a 16-month student Validation internship at Semtech Canada with the Signal Integrity Products Group (SIP) in our Burlington Design Centre.

Minimum Qualifications:
