Job summary
Qualicare Homecare is seeking compassionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs)/Caregivers to join our family. The PSW works under supervision to deliver personal care services and support our clients at home.
Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, outings, shopping, medications, mobility support and documentation per the care plan. Reliable transportation and CPR/First Aid training are required or willing to obtain.
Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid training required or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel around the location territory.
- Access to Internet or mobile phone.
- Foreign-trained nurse or nursing student acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene.
- Meal preparation.

The Personal Support Worker is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation

- Medication Assist/ Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients

- Ability to follow care-plan
- Documentation/Charting
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Ability to travel around location territory
- Access to Internet/mobile phone
- Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
