Job summary

Qualicare Homecare in Whitby is seeking a compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) / Caregiver to join our home care team. You will work under supervision of the Care Coordinator to meet clients’ personal care needs in their own homes.

We value reliability, flexible scheduling, and a caring, client-centered approach. Training, development, and education programs are offered to support ongoing professional growth and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Ability to travel around the location territory.
• Access to Internet/mobile phone.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Accompany clients on outings.
• Shopping and errands.
• Medication assistance/reminders.
• Ambulation and transporting of clients.
• Provide companionship to clients.
• Follow care plans and document/charting.
