Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and insightful UX/UI Researcher to join our Kimberley product development team. You will conduct user research to inform design decisions and improve digital experiences across our platforms.

The role emphasizes user advocacy and collaboration with designers and product managers to translate findings into actionable recommendations. A 3+ year track record in UX research, strong analytical and communication skills, and a portfolio demonstrating impact are

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in UX Research or related field.
  • Proven experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Portfolio showcasing research process and impact is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and conduct user research studies (usability testing, interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries).
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs and pain points.
  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights for product and design teams.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate user understanding.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and developers to inform strategy and decisions.
  • Advocate for user-centered design throughout the product lifecycle.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and insightful UX/UI Researcher to join their product development team in Kimberley. This role is crucial for understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations to inform the design and development of intuitive and effective digital products. You will conduct user research, analyze findings, and translate them into actionable recommendations that enhance the user experience across our platforms. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and execute a variety of user research studies, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data to identify user pain points, needs, and preferences.
  • Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for product and design teams.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts to communicate user understanding.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure research findings influence product strategy and design decisions.
  • Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring user-centered design principles are applied.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in UX Research or a related field.
  • Proven experience with a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in research tools and platforms for conducting remote and in-person studies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey research findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • A portfolio showcasing your research process and impact on product design is highly desirable.
