Utility Vehicle Mechanic

Job Overview

Bee Sweet Citrus is looking to hire a motivated, self-driven Utility Vehicle Mechanic to join our packing house team. This position will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical problems, performing repairs and carrying out maintenance on gas and electric forklifts, pallet jacks, golf carts, boom and scissor lifts. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Bee Sweet Citrus provides ALL necessary tools for mechanics to perform their job including uniforms, mechanical tools, and personal protective equipment.

Duties / Responsibilities
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Report all malfunctions on equipment, and safety issues or unsafe practices.
• Clean and lubricate machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
• Conduct thorough inspections of forklifts and other material handling equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
• Document all maintenance activities and repairs performed, maintaining accurate records.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Must be able to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Must be able to think rationally and apply logic during high-stress situations.
• Must be able to adhere to process protocol.
• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk in different temperature settings.
• Must be able to move or lift 30lbs or more.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
