Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid 4th Class Operating Engineer Certificate.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or waste-to-energy settings an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and inspect ash handling, residue processing, and metal recovery equipment.
• Perform routine inspections of conveyors, magnets, screens, and related systems.
• Monitor equipment for abnormalities and report issues to Shift Supervisor.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas following 5S standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance and plant work evolutions, including boiler cleanings.
• Complete logs, inspections, checklists, and required documentation; adhere to safety and environmental procedures.
