Job summary

Reworld is seeking a dedicated Utility Operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of ash handling, residue processing, and metal recovery systems. The role includes inspection, monitoring, and reporting equipment issues, while maintaining a clean and compliant work environment.

You will participate in boiler cleanings and plant outages, follow all procedures, complete logs, and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to ensure reliable plant performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand technical procedures, operating instructions, safety protocols.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify and communicate equipment issues.
• Ability to use a computer and complete online training.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and inspect ash handling, residue processing, and metal recovery equipment.
• Perform routine inspections of conveyors, magnets, non-ferrous recovery equipment, screens, crushers, ash conditioning equipment, and related systems.
• Monitor equipment for abnormal conditions and report issues to the Shift Supervisor.
• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping, maintaining 5S standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance activities and work evolutions.
• Participate in boiler cleanings, outages, shutdowns, and other plant evolutions.
• Follow operating procedures, safety procedures, LOTO and environmental requirements.
• Complete operating logs, inspections, checklists, and required documentation.
• Complete required Reworld training and qualify as an Equipment Operator within timelines.
• Work closely with Operations and Maintenance to support safe and reliable plant operation.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
