SSP Canada operates several restaurants at the Calgary International Airport and is seeking a Utility to keep our units clean and sanitized for guests and team members.

You will clean surfaces, maintain hygiene, stock items, and assist guests while working in a secure airport environment requiring RAIC and proper documentation. A minimum 6 months in retail/food service is preferred.

Formación

• Minimum 6 months experience working in retail or food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.
• Food handlers permit, if required by law.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsabilidades

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (floors, walls, tables, etc.).
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables and transport service-ware for cleaning.
• Scrape, wash, and return dishes; operate dishwasher as needed.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to sanitary standards; may use heavy equipment.
• Assist guests with requests and relay needs to server/supervisor.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of food items.
• Other duties as assigned.

SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout the Calgary International Airport: Belgian Beer Cafe, Bistro on the Bow, The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck, Stack & Press, Bad Egg, and our newest locations Wander by Chef Nicole Gomes and Mi Casa!

This position is located in a secure airport environment and a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is required. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada and must be able to provide the necessary government-issued documentation required for airport security clearance. Documentation will be reviewed during the onboarding process in accordance with Transport Canada regulations. Here are a few things you can expect as a Utility at SSP Canada:

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (i.e., floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas, etc.)
• Removes refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, as needed and transports service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash them by hand or load dishwasher and return them to their proper storage place.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment
• Assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server/supervisor
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills And Other Requirements

• Minimum 6 months experience working in retail or food service environment
