Job summary

Purolator Inc. in Sudbury is hiring a Courier to pick up and deliver customer packages, scan and track shipments, and resolve on-road issues in collaboration with dispatch.

You need a High School completion and a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record; the role runs on a rotating schedule, about 40 hours weekly, at $22.18 per hour with an upcoming increase under the CBA.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or vocational/business courses commonly taught at high school level.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
• Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day
• Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR)
• When inspections fail, the Courier advises the unit manager

Position Details

• Sunday - Saturday (Open availability)
• Schedule Varies
• 40 hours per week
• $22.18 per hour (Next increase at 3 months as per CBA)

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
• Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day
