Job summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) in Toronto is seeking a Consultant for US Operational Risk Management QA to oversee and enhance testing across ORM programs, including RCSA and incident reporting. You will guide first line of defense testing, assess control populations, and document findings for executive stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years in risk/compliance/QA, skills in data analytics with SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, or quality assurance.
• Advanced capability in developing and analyzing reports, dashboards, and metrics related to risk management.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau for data analytics and automation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• QA testing across US ORM programs including the RCSA and incident reporting.
• Lead first line of defense monitoring, assess control populations and test design effectiveness.
• Perform targeted risk reviews, identify root causes, and document observations.
• Contribute to enhancements of testing procedures, intake forms and guidelines.
• Design and deliver management reports and high-quality workpapers.
