Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Consultant for the US Operational Risk Management (ORM) Testing Team in a hybrid Toronto role. You will oversee QA across ORM programs, monitor the first line of defense, and drive improvements to controls, processes and reporting.

This position requires 5+ years in risk, compliance, internal audit, or QA, with strong analytics and experience in SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau. The role offers a hybrid schedule with on-site days at the Toronto Banking Centre.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management or related field.
• CRISC or CISA certification is a plus.
• Experience with compliance-related technology tools, data analytics, or automation (SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau).

Responsibilities

• QA testing of US ORM programs across RCSA, CIRA, and incident reporting to validate adherence to methodologies and regulations.
• Monitor first line of defense testing results and provide recommendations to strengthen controls.
• Lead targeted risk reviews to identify weaknesses in controls and document findings.
• Support development and enhancement of US ORM testing procedures and guidelines.
• Apply data analytics and automation to improve QA efficiency and coverage.
• Design and deliver reporting on QA results and management communications.
