Job summary

Artech L.L.C. is seeking a QA Lead/Senior QA Consultant for a Canadian client in Toronto. The role focuses on Connex switch migration projects and testing across payment ecosystems. Hybrid work arrangement in Toronto, ON, for a 12+ month contractual engagement.

The ideal candidate will lead test strategy and execution, with hands-on skills in IBM Connex, ISO 8583, and mainframe testing, and will drive end-to-end testing across distributed and mainframe platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing IBM Connex/payment switch platforms.
• Experience designing end-to-end test strategies for payments ecosystems.
• Experience with mainframe and distributed systems testing.
• Ability to perform defect analysis and production validation.

Responsibilities

• Connet migration, modernization, or replacement programs for Connex switches.
• Test ISO 8583 message flows and transaction life-cycle validation.
• Utilize XCheck for transaction simulation and message validation.
• Develop test strategy, plans and test suites.
• Perform mainframe processing and interface testing.
• Validate ATM, POS, Debit, Credit, MCW, Interac and network flows.
• Test authorization, reversals, stand-in processing, settlement and reconciliation flows.
• Execute end-to-end and system integration testing across distributed and mainframe platforms.
• Develop test automation framework and regression tests.
• Conduct performance, volume and resilience testing for high-throughput systems.
• Manage defects, root cause analysis and production validation support.
• Collaborate with payment processors, networks or acquiring/issuing systems.

Our team is currently looking for experienced QA Lead/Senior QA Consultant for contractual opportunities supporting a large-scale Connex migration program. We're particularly interested in professionals with hands‑on experience testing IBM Connex/payment switch platforms, as well as designing and executing end‑to‑end test strategies for complex payments ecosystems.

Responsibilities:
