Job summary

R.V. Anderson Associates Limited in Vancouver is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to join our Urban & Riverine Systems team.

You will support design of stormwater, drainage, and flood management projects and perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling for water resources initiatives. You will collaborate with engineers and clients, prepare reports and drawings using CAD and GIS, and contribute to ISMPs, master plans, and approval documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
EGBC-registered or eligible to register as Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
0-3+ years of consulting experience in municipal water resources or civil infrastructure.
Proficiency with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM.

Responsibilities

Assist design and development of stormwater, drainage, and flood management systems.
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for water resources projects.
Assist in ISMPs, Drainage Master Plans, flood hazard and overland flow assessments, capacity analysis.
Analyze storm and sanitary system performance and propose optimization strategies.
Support proposal development including schedules and fees.
Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications using CAD and GIS.
Contribute to permit applications and environmental documentation.
Assist in cost estimation and construction documentation.
