Chartwell Retirement Residences in the Niagara Region seeks an Unregulated Care Aide to provide personal care, assist residents with daily activities, and support a safe, dignified living environment. You will join a warm, home-like community focused on compassionate service.

You will work flexible hours, collaborate with the Health and Wellness team, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and help with meals, mobility, and routines with empathy and respect.

Qualificações

• Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services.
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors’ needs.
• Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well.

Responsabilidades

• Help residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines like dressing and meals
• Provide support with laundry, light housekeeping, and meal service
• Administer medications and follow individual care plans [CS1]
• Keep resident areas clean and safe, and follow all health and safety protocols
• Respond to resident and family concerns and report to the Health and Wellness Manager when needed

As an Unregulated Care Aide at Chartwell, you’ll provide personal care, assistance, and support to our residents, helping them live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. What You’ll Bring

• Secondary school education; post-secondary training in a care field preferred
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively

• Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the role
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
