Job summary

Delmanor Richmond Hill MemoryPlus neighbourhood is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide professional care, assist with meals, administer medications, and support residents living with dementia through meaningful recreation.

Required credentials include a PSW certificate, Medication Management Certificate, and experience in dementia care; strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience working with seniors living with Alzheimer’s/dementia, including recreation programs.
• Experience in dementia care settings such as long-term care or retirement communities.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety policies and ability to document care accurately and promptly.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• Provide professional care, help with meals, medication administration and recreation support to residents living with dementia in our MemoryPlus neighborhood.
• You must have experience working in a dementia care setting such as long-term care or a Retirement Community. Education in dementia care is required.
• Follow infection control and safety policies and procedures and maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Other Duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an accredited/recognized community college/school
• Medication Management Certificate
• Internationally educated Nurse or Current RN/RPN student credentials
• P.I.E.C.E.S or Montessori Methods certificate is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with seniors living with Alzheimer’s/Dementia including experience with recreation programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility—shift work including weekends is required.

Hourly rate: $19.75 - $20.42
