Job summary

Delmanor in Canada is seeking a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to Residents in a retirement setting. You will assist in initial and ongoing assessments, coordinate care plans, and communicate with care teams.

The role requires CNO-eligible designation, flexibility for shifts and weekends, and prior geriatrics experience. This is a 6-month contract with hourly rate of $29.25 CAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Practical Nursing (RPN) or RN degree required.
• Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) without restrictions.
• Experience in geriatrics and retirement living is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in initial and ongoing Resident assessments to ensure high quality nursing care and support for Residents.
• Coordinate and/or carry out nursing actions related to the prescribed care plan.
• Refer, report, and record pertinent information about the Resident’s care to other health care team members.
• Delegate appropriate activities to the Personal Support Worker.
• Communicate effectively with Residents, family members, and physicians.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience in Geriatrics considered an asset
• Experience in Retirement Industry or a similar setting an asset
• The flexibility to accommodate shift work and weekends.

Duration: 6 month contract

Hourly rate: $29.25
